Palliative & Comfort Care
Compassionate, supportive care for patients with serious or life-limiting conditions, according to an appropriate care plan — focused on comfort, dignity and family support.
Comfort, Dignity and Support When It Matters Most
When a loved one is living with a serious or life-limiting illness, the focus of care often shifts towards comfort, dignity and quality of life. Many patients wish to spend this time at home, close to the people they love, and many families wish to honour that — but caring for someone at this stage can be physically and emotionally demanding.
Our palliative and comfort care supports the patient and family together. We help keep the patient clean, comfortable and well positioned, support nutrition and hydration as appropriate, monitor for changes and discomfort, and work closely with the patient's doctor or palliative care team so that symptoms are managed according to their plan.
Just as importantly, we offer companionship, a calm presence and practical support to the family — so they can spend time simply being with their loved one.
Who it's for
Patients with serious or life-limiting conditions who need comfort-focused support, and the families who want reassurance that their loved one is cared for with dignity.
